The Human Voice is a documentary that explores the world of dubbing and voiceover from its origins, tracing the evolution of this industry alongside technological advancements. We will journey through the history of voice acting, from the creation of dubbing to the present day, highlighting how these developments have impacted the lives of voice actors. The documentary features interviews with over 40 voice actors from all over the world, who will share their personal stories, their journeys, and their concerns about the rise of technologies like Artificial Intelligence.

The documentary aims to highlight the ongoing struggle of voice actors, dubbing artists, and voiceover professionals against the growing threat of Artificial Intelligence, which replicates their voices without consent, putting their careers and livelihoods at risk.

We seek to humanize these actors, showing that behind every performance is a real person with emotions and needs, contributing something that machines cannot: heart and humanity. Our goal is to emphasize that while Artificial Intelligence can imitate a voice, it lacks the organic authenticity that only a trained actor can bring to a performance.

To achieve this goal, we aim to take this documentary to as many film festivals around the world as possible to ensure the issue reaches a wide audience. We believe that the more exposure this issue gets, the greater the chance for change and for a fair regulation that allows voice actors and Artificial Intelligence to coexist.

About Us:

My name is Juan Paradiso, and I am a content creator, actor, and producer from Argentina. I started my career in 2009 on YouTube, gradually expanding across different platforms, creating a variety of content from short films to gaming. Over the years, I have been honored to receive several awards in my country and have amassed more than 2.5 million followers on social media. Thanks to this, in 2022, I moved to Hollywood to pursue my dreams of becoming an actor and producer at the heart of the entertainment industry.

In Hollywood, I met Víctor Mares Jr., a talented actor and director of voiceover and dubbing, who has worked in both Spanish and English. Víctor has voiced many characters in Spanish, including Mickey Mouse and Marty McFly from Back to the Future. He has also directed many actors, following in the footsteps of his father, Don Víctor Mares Alcaraz, working for the most important networks. When we met, he shared with me the concern and growing challenge that voice actors face with the rise of artificial intelligence, which is starting to replace human voices. This inspired us to create a documentary to raise awareness about this issue, and I immediately began working on the production preparations.

Throughout the process, we had the invaluable help of MetaLWarrioR, a friend and a great content creator from Argentina, who, as always, was there to support us in every step. Before we knew it, we had formed a team of just three people. MetaLWarrioR joined us in Hollywood, and we got to work. In no time, we were filming and embarking on this exciting journey together.
